Our club was established in 1987 in the Santa Clarita Valley. The purpose of the club is to bring together persons interested in older cars, and to foster the restoration and preservation of same. To protect and promote the hobby as such in the Los Angeles County area. Year 2008 Club Officers:
We are associated with a national organization the Contemporary Historical Vehicle Association (CHVA) and all members are required to be members of the CHVA as well as SCVCCC. To become a member does not require you to have a running, or displayable car. But registered and participating cars are restricted to pre-1975 vehicles, any make, any model. Meetings are held on the 4th Tuesday of every month (except June) at the "Margarita's Mexican Grill," located at 23320 West Valencia Blvd. in Santa Clarita. Eating begins at 6:00 pm, with the meeting beginning at 7:00 pm. The June club meeting is a yearly club picnic in the park, location varies. There is a yearly Christmas party, and the yearly Christmas light tour of the houses in the Santa Clarita Valley. During the course of the year there are numerous additional cruises to locations and events. This also includes our participation in other car shows as well as the monthly Route 66 Car Show ( May thru October ). New members should submit their membership application, and fees at the first available general membership meeting, to be introduced and accepted at that time.
